👩💻 Here are three tips to improve your executive presence
Executive presence is a skill necessary for effective leaders. It’s about your character and personality that allows you to be a confident leader to your subordinates and a trustworthy person to your seniors. This can easily be seen in face-to-face interactions.
But how do you do it in a remote setup, where only almost half of your body is seen?
In the fourth episode of #TheDigitalDiplomat with Tony Abad, Lashley Pulsipher, the Global Leadership & Communications Consultant at TCP Growth, shares with us a few tips that can help build your executive presence in an online setup:
- Be intentional with your gestures. Just like speakers use their stage to move, you can use your screen with your gestures to move from one topic to another.
- Take up space on the screen. Make sure that you have a nice posture and be aware of the framing of yourself when being on camera.
- Be engaging. If you are leading the meeting, you have the responsibility to engage with your audience.
Remember these tips for your next online meeting!
